Firearm safety means making sure your children
CANNOT access your firearms to prevent
tragedies. Firearm safety ALSO means that, when
your child is mature enough, they understand what
firearms are, how to properly handle them (and as
safely as possible), and all other safety measures YOU
know as the adult. We need to start teaching firearm
safety. Portraying firearms in a bad light makes adults
not know what to do when a criminal attacks them
with a firearm, if they find a firearm, or what to explain
to their child who may one day encounter a firearm.
